I purchased a lovebox for my wife for valentine's day this year. With her having to go out of town overnight for 2 days out of the week, this has given us a way to send a little love over the distance. The app is awesome, setup was a breeze, and the overall unit itself is clean and aesthetically pleasing. She loves it so much we are planning on getting a 2nd one to have for the kids to be able to receive their own messages. The company is also quick to reply to questions and comments. Bravo!!!
I purchased the Lovebox for my adopted little brother-in-law, who just turned 18. Jack moved into a group home that could better meet his needs. Jack has intellectual and developmental disabilities caused by abuse he suffered as a baby. It was very difficult for the family to say goodbye to Jack. We wanted a way to stay in touch. He can’t have a phone or laptop. But the Lovebox gives us a way to send him messages and photos so he knows we’re thinking of him, even if we aren’t there. Jack is able to “talk” to us by spinning the heart and sending waterfalls of hearts. Jack is able to easily open the lid of the Lovebox, even though he can only use one arm. It’s given my mother-in-law a sense of peace because she can see the stream of pictures and messages the whole family sends. Thank you for this incredible gift.
The Love Box is a cute idea. However, the app is terrible. I purchased the box for my granddaughter. I guess I have to be the admin. Now it’s like I’m sending the messages to myself. I named the Lovebox. But the greeting says I’m sending to myself. Not my granddaughter. The app is awful. Also, why not create an invite link to make it easy to share with other family and friends? The box is cute. Are you planning to create an upgrade that has sound? An alert sound? Audio messages would be amazing. Also, videos? With sound. Do you plan these features for the future? And finally the cord is wayyyyyy too short. We have to keep the Lovebox on the floor because the cord is too short to reach the top of her dresser. And then she couldn’t see the messages.
Good item, but I dont like that most templates cost extra! The high price tag should include at least a larger variety.

Connecting to the internet is painful and took four tries to connect. After a short internet disruption it stopped working and needed to be completely reconfigured (a simple reboot didn't fix it). The app should be used to connect the device to the internet like most devices of this type. The app to send messages is pretty intuitive and works well when the box is actually connected. But with the subscription cost I would think the connectivity would be much better.
It would be much improved if there was a kid friendly UI that filtered out the premium offerings and also had a simplified home page on the app with just a few options so that the user journey was super efficient

My boxes won’t pair with a weaker WiFi router

Confusing what "waterfall" exactly is- and alot of the time, its near objects and gets activated
The app is very challenging to navigate as you're constantly bombarded with things about upgrading to the subscription plan or your screen is just plastered with templates that you can't use without a subscription. The app desperately needs a search function and a way to toggle off the locked content.
