This month we’d like to switch things up a little with you all and share a different kind of Lovebox story. We hope that you will enjoy this story and as it introduces a new take on the Lovebox. This story comes from Jérémy, the manager of a luxury hotel in Bourgogne, Le Domaine des Prés Verts Massages & Spa Vinésime. A couple months ago, at the end of January, Marie received a call from Jérémy. As the manager of luxurious and unforgettable getaways, he wanted to try adding Loveboxes to one of the hotel rooms for Valentine's day. This unique idea came to him after having gifted his daughter a Lovebox and adopting a daily routine around the Lovebox, sending messages to his wife and daughter. After his personal experience, he decided to share this incredible love-filled experience with his clients.
Jérémy ‘s vision was that the Lovebox would be used to let the lovers send each other secret love notes throughout there stay. We immediately loved the idea of letting the Lovebox enhance the stay of lovers during Valentine's day.
A couple weeks after its first trial, Jérémy called Marie to announce the success of the Lovebox in his Hotel room. Following its success, he wanted to implement a Lovebox in every room in the hotel. Helping to grow the Love community a bit more.
Following this new utility (a little bit unexpected to have Loveboxes in a Hotel), the LoveTeam decided to develop a platform to manage the Loveboxes within the Hotel so that other hotels could also offer this special experience.
So what is going on with Lovebox this summer? Is the LoveTeam going on vacation? Has the manufacturing of the Loveboxes started? When are the new app updates coming out?
If you think the LoveTeam is planning on putting anything on pause during this summertime, then you are highly mistaken! This summer, at Lovebox, we plan on working TWICE as hard to make all of your dreams come true.
Let us begin by updating you on our manufacturing. The creation of our Loveboxes has already begun and is in full production mode! Jean is going to be checking in on the LoveFactury end of July to make sure everything will be on time. We will even let you on a little secret update: we are currently manufacturing the wooden boxes. They begin as blocks of rough wood which are then sanded down and assembled to create the polished Lovebox that you all know and love.
As for the app, our team is working on some new projects to better your experience and to add new features! Don’t worry, some incredible new surprises will be coming your way starting next week!
We hope that you enjoyed your 4th of July this year! Most of you probably already know the brief history behind the 4th of July as it marks the end of the Revolutionary War and the declaration of the free world as the first 13 colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence. To make things a bit more interesting we did some research and wanted to share with you 5 fun facts that we found that you might not already know!
1) John Hancock was the first and only person to sign the Declaration of independence on the 4th of July, everyone signed later on.
2) The declaration had a total of 56 signatures for 13 colonies.
3) Two of the signers went on to be presented, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson.
4) The White House held its first 4th of July Party in 1801.
5) Massachusetts was the first state to recognize the holiday, in 1781.
So next 4th of July, when you're celebrating with your friends don’t forget to bring out your fun facts and see what other fun facts your friends might have!
Let's talk a little history. As you all might know by now, we are a French-based company. In America, we celebrate the 4th of July and similarly, in France we celebrate the 14th of July. But what does the 14th mean?
For many, the national holiday is a reference to the take back of the Bastille, in France July 14th, 1789. However, this is not the only reference this date holds. It is also a day where we celebrate the French federation.
The 14th of July 1790, was the first celebration of the take back of the Bastille. Louis XVI is taken off the throne and the “l’Assemblée Constituante et du Marquis de La Fayette” is put into place. This marks the first celebration of the French federation. It represents the union of the people and the nation.
In 1880, under the 3rd French republic, the government wanted to establish a national holiday to celebrate the republic. This day became the 14th of July as it was a day that symbolized reconciliation, recognizing its past history of the take back of the Bastille and the freedom of the French people. Like the 4th of July in America, it would be a day filled with festivities.
Today all over France there are organized festivals to celebrate the 14th of July. During the day there are parades in the streets, the most famous one is held on the Champs Elysées as a pledge of alliance to the men and women in the French armed forces. At night, we have fireworks and end the evening with the Firefighter Balls (which are held by every fire department in the country.)
At Lovebox, we discovered a phenomenon that happens every summer during the month of July. The population is divided into two different kinds of people…
The first group is filled with those that love the outdoors, the rain and the sun. They sip on cocktails and lay on the beach for some tanning.
The second group is filled with those who can be found at the office. They are usually dreaming of being with the people in the first group, on an amazing summer vacation in the warm sun. And in the second group, you can also find the members of the LoveTeam. That's right, someone has to keep the motors running, even during the summer! Don't worry, you can always count on us to continue to spread the Love from our office desks!
Don’t worry we aren’t teasing you for being on vacation or for also working. We just thought we'd brighten your day with a gif that sure made us laugh!
That's it for June, we will be back shortly with more stories, new ideas and of course a lot of love!
